BLAKE BAGGETT
Blake Baggett started off his Supercross season plagued with injury. The Suzuki rider attempted a come back in Oakland but was forced right back to the sidelines. He made another return at Daytona, where many thought he would shine. Unfortunately, Blake seems to have missed too much racing and is still getting used to the insane race pace. He has been unable to break into the top ten so far this season. Riding for a factory team comes with an enormous amount of pressure. Having a teammate such as James Stewart does not help either. Blake is doing any and every thing he can to get back to race pace for his team, for himself, and most of all, for his future. Supercross isn’t Baggett’s strong suit but in order to carry a factory ride, Supercross speed is a must. In the past, he has proven to be fast and consistent, finishing 5th overall in points in his rookie 450 season. Hopefully, Blake’s streak of injuries has come to an end and he will be ready to get back up there and battle. There is no doubt he belongs on a factory team despite this rough season. Blake needs to get his confidence back up, believe in himself and his equipment, and put the #4 Suzuki back into the top 5.
