Everytime the #33 graces the Supercross track, his effortless styles and blazing fast speed
prove he deserves to be out there. He showed his speed early, finishing up the first practice in
5th position. Josh ended up qualifying in 10th position overall on a very tricky Santa Clara track.
The stage was set and he was ready to improve on his Detroit results. In 450 Heat 1, Grant got a great jump and nearly got the holeshot but was forced to let off the gas. He came around the first lap in 7th and had his work cut out for him. Josh made his way into 5th but could not make the pass into qualifying position. He came out guns blazing when the gate dropped for Semi 2. He got a great start and started to pull away. The rest was history and Grant grabbed the win, he would go straight to the Main. Josh had a poor gate pick in the Main, and this was the cause of an equally as poor start. On lap 1, Josh sat in 19th place and stayed in that position for a few laps. By lap 8, Josh was able to climb up to 16th but he was in survival mode at this point. With 7 to go, he had made his way up to 14th and was beginning to find his groove. With 6 to go, he went a lap down to Dungey, but kept moving forward and made a rough pass on Barcia for 13th. By the time the checkers flew, Grant made one last pass on Brayton and would finish 12th for the night.
