JOSH GRANT
Lately, Supercross seems to be everyone’s favorite sport to retire from. Fortunately, for the sake of interesting racing, it is also everyone’s favorite sport to return to! Multiple riders have come out of retirement this year alone just because they couldn’t stand to stay away. In this day and age, it
is hard for riders to justify racing every weekend if they are not on a solid team. For some reason Josh found himself with no ride at the beginning of 2016. He decided to hold the couch down for the majority of the season until a little encouragement from his son sent him searching for a way to get back on the track. Luckily, Grant was able to scrounge some things together and made it happen. He decided to return to racing at one of his favorite races in FLA and came out swinging at the rough and tough track in Daytona. He logged top 5 times and put in a very impressive 7th place finish. He turned a bunch of heads as expected, and picked up a fill-in ride right away for his old team Monster Energy Kawasaki. Santa Clara will be Grant’s 3rd race of the season and he should be even more comfortable. Josh has been working hard during the week with Kawasaki and is ready to get back on the line. If the #33 can hold on for 20 laps, he could undoubtedly be finishing in the top 5.
