Jimmy Decotis’ 2016 West Coast championship run has been quite a roller coaster. He started the season with blistering speed but by round 3 he had come down with the flu. The struggle continued as Jimmy kept working hard and he trained himself right into a case of nasty bron-
chitis. As he struggled, so did his results. Although he was able to keep the bike inside the top ten every week despite the ill- ness, and by round 7 his health was getting back up to par. With the amount of work that Jimmy put in in the off season, anything but a podium is disappointing for him. Now, The East Coast Rippa’ should be ready to finish off the West Coast season strong and healthy. Jimmy is happy on his Geico Honda ride and is ready to prove to them and to himself that he can put in some top results. He now sits 6th in points and is determined to improve his position by the end of the season. Decotis will be looking to solidify his deal with his current team for the future, and should be back up to speed in Santa Clara this weekend.
