COLE SEELY
The California kid has been trying hard to regain his composure in this second half of
the 2016 Supercross season. Cole started his year off with two podiums and looked to be
solidifying his place as contender for the 450 championship. The premier class is a shark tank and Cole proved that as he struggled for the next few rounds after the opener. He was able to climb back and prove he is still
a threat with amazing speed at round 6 in San Diego. The Honda rider looked to be back as he nearly pulled off a win
with an impressive 2nd place finish. The roller coaster continued for Cole after that and he has not been able to put the HRC ride back on the podium since. Although he has finished outside of the top 5 many times, he has managed to keep his finishes inside the top ten and now sits an impressive 6th in points, just 3 points away from 5th. Mr. Seely is assuredly doing everything in his power to get back into the top 3 and wants a win now more than ever. The series has now crossed the country to land back in Cole’s home state and it would of been just what he needed to bounce back, but a practice crash has made the rest of Cole’s season unclear. With last weekend off for the holiday, he was motivated to be consistent and fast in the return of west coast racing, but the California native hit the dirt hard and ended up fracturing a vertebrae. It seems as though this will not be Cole’s weekend and hopefully he can heal up fast.
