As the gate dropped in the main, Craig pushed Joey Savatgy into the corner to take over the lead in the first seconds of the race. Craig stole the holeshot, even with Cooper Webb biting at his rear tire. Webb challenged Craig in several corners as Craig raced desperately to put more distance in between himself and Webb. By lap three Craig continued to hold off Webb as Savatgy kept moving in closer to the top two. In lap four, Craig slipped in a corner, losing traction, and Webb quickly took advantage of his misfor- tune. Craig recovered as quickly as possible, and he jumped back into the race in sixth place. A quick crash for Jordan Smith would bump Craig back into the top 5. With 7 laps to go, Craig passed Alex Martin for fourth place. A mechanical upset with leader Cooper Webb would bump Craig onto the podium in third in the final laps of the race.
