Meet the Team
Cherry Baguneid
Nurse Counsellor
“I am one of the newer members of staff at Beechwood after joining in October 2017, as a Nurse Therapist.”
My previous roles included being a Practice Nurse in a Medical Centre and I have also worked in the past at The Christie Hospital for 2 years. I was first introduced to ‘talking therapy’ and counselling at a difficult time in my life, and I experienced the ‘light bulb’ moment with a counsellor I had some sessions with and have been a true believer in the benefits of talking
I work part-time at Beechwood and study part-time, which leaves me time to look after my 5 children and Bella, our Newfoundland dog.
When I first came to visit Beechwood, the serenity and calmness that greeted me was
therapy and counselling ever since.
I have done counselling courses and I am currently starting my second year studying for a Master of Arts in Clinical Counselling at The University of Chester. I see patients, carer’s and bereaved carers at Beechwood and I
also facilitate the Bereavement Group on the Bereavement Programme.
wonderful and it really feels that you step away from the life outside when you enter those
front doors. All the staff are very welcoming
and friendly, and it has been a real pleasure to become one of the team. I really love the fact that the we can support and be by the patient’s and carer’s sides when they need it the most, and I really feel that it is an honour and a privilege to do the job that I do.
Christmas Spectacular
Saturday 24 November 2018, 12-3pm, Beechwood Centre
This year “Lapland” is coming to Beechwood where there will be Santa’s grotto, games and other fun activities for the children. There will also be the usual stalls to top up on your Christmas gifts including a Clarins stall.
Turkey and cranberry sandwiches, indian food and tantalising cakes will also be on sale.
