Counselling Courses at Beechwood

Level 3 Counselling
“In my role at Beechwood I provide a lot of emotional and empathic support to people who may be experiencing complex issues and who may be in a high level of distress. This requires me to communicate sensitively and compassionately to help them explore the issues they are facing, or for me to be a listening ear for them.
Having completed my ABC Level 2 Award in Counselling Concepts, along with several communication skills courses a few years ago, I wanted to develop and enhance my skills further and was able to complete my ABC Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Skills here at Beechwood.
I really enjoyed the course and weekend workshops and throughout the academic year have gained lots more knowledge, skills and experience, which I am already putting into practice. I am extremely pleased and proud to have passed and thank my Beechwood colleagues for their support.”

“I was asked if I wanted to do the Level 2 counselling course at Beechwood.
Following an interview with Dr Rionach Casey, I was accepted and enrolled. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but quickly started looking forward to Monday nights. The course covers the Person-Centred approach to counselling. We learned how to hone listening and responding
skills, working within the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) Ethical Framework.
