Be Creative at Beechwood
Craft Group
Beechwood’s Card and Craft Group is both a support group and fundraising group. We meet twice a month on a Thursday morning and a Tuesday afternoon at the centre
and the group consists of past patients, volunteers and friends of Beechwood.
When the group started some years ago most of us had never made cards or been creative. We all learnt by trial and error and a lot of laughter. We have ladies who knit amazing goods and cute teddy bears and our shops have our cards on sale. We also sell our cards and crafts at local fetes and festivals in aid of Beechwood.
The aim of the group is to socialise, have fun and gain support from others in a similar situation. Many benefit from the contact
with each other who are brought together by circumstance but stay together by choice. If you enjoy being creative you are very welcome to join this drop in group.

VOLUNTEER AT BEECHWOOD
Ted’s 91st
There is nothing we enjoy more at Beechwood than celebrating birthdays – especially if there’s cake! We were especially happy to share Ted’s 91st birthday and to let him have a well-deserved sit down and a cuppa after all his hard work volunteering in the Beechwood garden over the summer. Those of you who have visited the centre will have enjoyed the beautiful flowering pots and hanging baskets, tended by Ted’s green fingers.

Beechwood Garden
Our volunteers play such an important role at Beechwood whether that is tending the garden, being a driver for the patients or working in one of our charity shops. Each volunteer is unique and valued by all.
