A two-storey houseboat - com- plete with a white picket fence - was towed through San Francisco Bay after the owners were asked to leave Redwood City marina. The float- ing home took the
precarious jour- ney across the bay to San Rafael.
According to local news outlets, Redwood City council told peo- ple living in houseboats in the marina to leave
because the boats were block- ing public access to a state water- way. As part of an ongoing legal bat- tle, the council offered compen- sation for the move.
