Page 5 - GM-Don't Bee Angry
P. 5

It all began on a beautiful morning just as we were about to leave for breakfast. We had been going to the same cornfield for about four days and I had gotten tired of the same old food every morning. I suggested that we fly over to the fruit orchard that morning for a little change of diet.
Well you would not have believed the reaction of the cousins. They started squawking and flapping and they said, “We can’t go there, no one can go there!”
Their reaction made me a little curious, so I asked them if the fruit was not good. “Oh no, that orchard has always had the best fruit in the area,” they replied. I then asked if the fruit was not ripe yet or maybe spoiled. “Oh no, this is the picking season and the fruit is at its best.”
Now I figured I understood why they did not want to go into the orchard. “So you are trying to tell me that the humans are there in the orchard and we should avoid them,” I said. “Oh no, not even the humans go into that orchard,” replied my cousin. Now they really had my attention. Not even the humans go into the orchard? What’s wrong with that place? I asked, pointing my beak toward the orchard. “The bees,” my cousin whispered.
What about the bees, I demanded. My two cousins looked at each other and then turned to me and said, “They are the Anger Bees.” When they said this, they both shook like it had suddenly gotten very cold. Needless to say, I knew I had found my adventure.
