Page 7 - GM-Don't Bee Angry
P. 7

It took me a while before I could finally understand what they were saying and what was going on at the hive. As you may know already, I have a real talent with language. Give me an hour or two and I can understand just about any language, from ant to armadillo. It took a little longer with these bees because they were all fussing at the same time and because they had an accent.
Once I had figured out their language, I got an ear full of fussing. Some were angry because it was too hot, others because it was too cold. Some fussed that it might rain while others fussed because it was not raining at that moment. It certainly seemed silly, all this fussing but fairly harmless. I soon found out that all this anger is never harmless.
I heard some noise in the distance and looked to the west. I saw a young brown bear enter the orchard. It seemed obvious to me that he had never been there before because he kept tripping over stuff. Now I know that bears like honey, so I figured he would go for the hive and we would have a big problem.
But I was wrong. The young bear kept to the far side of the orchard and was climbing the trees to eat fruit. I told myself that if the bear stays over by the edge or the orchard, he would be safe.
Well as you have probably guessed, I was wrong again.
