Page 8 - GM-Don't Bee Angry
P. 8

Suddenly the bee hive got quiet. They had noticed the bear. “What is he doing in our orchard. He is eating our fruit. I bet he is coming over here to get our honey. What makes that stupid, ugly bear think he can do that to us?”
As I listened to their conversations, I wondered to myself... Their Orchard? Who made it their orchard? Why do they care if he eats the fruit, because bees don’t eat fruit. And he is nowhere near their hive so why do they think he is coming after their honey?
It did not take long for me to understand why my cousins did not want to come into the orchard. All their angry thinking and angry talking got the Anger Bees very upset.
Suddenly, as if by some unseen signal, a cloud of Anger Bees flew out of the hive toward the young bear. They were on him in a flash, stinging and stinging. The bear could do nothing except run from the orchard and dive into the stream to try to escape. However, the Anger Bees kept after him even as he floated down the stream, away from the hive.
When the Anger Bees returned to their hive, there was a lot of congratulations and pats on the back. “We really showed him, I bet no bear within twenty miles will dare come into our orchard.”
