I missed an opportunity to get something nice for my nest but rather than admit it and accept it, I chose to get angry with Carl.
I hate to admit it but feeling angry sometimes feels better than feeling disappointed. But that does not make it right.
In the end, I learned to take responsibility for my feelings and behaviors. I learned to not think that other’s success is bad for me. After all, I did get a 3rd place ribbon.
