My teacher then asked, “Cosmos, if you do what you are suggesting the next time something like this happens, who will be happier?” I though about it for a minute and said, “I guess I would be happier. I would be disappointed I did get the shiny thing for my nest but I would know that I don’t have to get disappointed or angry when things don’t happen just the way I want them to happen.”
My crow teacher put her wing around me and said, “Cosmos you are correct and you are no longer Timmy Timeout. In fact, if you keep telling yourself what
you just shared with me, you may never be Timmy Timeout again.”
Then we flew back to the class where I found out that my nest was good enough for third place. Carl’s nest even with my shiny thing came in seventh.
