continues to train several with his example and valuable mento-
ring.
Ideal leader
A very striking characteristic of Paulo’s is the intensity, the fo-
cus to make things happen and the ability to engage, inspire and
mobilize everyone towards that goal.
He does not leave you in your comfort zone and always set the
bar higher, showing you can always go farther and give your best,
as says the phrase of his authorship that we see in frames in the
Group: To have the best, give your best.
He invests as many hours as it takes to train leaders. If you show
hard work, are teachable, resilient, and willing to evolve, get ready,
because he will make time to make you fly. He teaches with wis-
dom and helps to break paradigms. He can spend dozens of hours
teaching about business.
One of the principles of the Group is Meritocracy and this
is something he takes seriously. Opportunities are created all the
time and his decision to give an opportunity is always based on
your potential and dedication to the project.
Philanthropist
He has a giving heart, always willing to teach how to fish first
and, of course, in cases of health issues, he sends help recurrently,
especially when it comes to widows and orphans, which is a biblical
commandment that helps him define priorities in social resources.
What Paulo really wants is to leave a great legacy through the re-

cently launched Caminho Ideal Project (loosely translated as Ideal
Way Project), a church-school, with an audacious goal of transfor-
ming ordinary and simple people into great citizens on Earth and
in Heaven, because the journey here is short and not final.
He has always been passionate about the Holy Book “Bible”
and understands that life does comes with a manual, to him, the
booklet is truly clear. For this reason, he always relies heavily on
the books of Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Psalms and Matthew, which he
know by heart from a very young age, when he also recorded them
on CD so he could listen to them and meditate. By the way, it is
a beautiful CD, very well-crafted considering the time when it was
burned. He is a careful perfectionist and even put background clas-
sical music to it. It is a beautiful CD I heard many times as well.
Once, we were driving by an avenue in São Paulo and we saw a
very thin man selling candy on the street. He was walking with di-
fficulties under the hot weather, but he had a big smile in his face
while working and sweating in that Sunday afternoon. We were
amazed and made the return to meet him. He was mister Ronaldo,
a man with HIV who had recently met Christ, and was making a
living to his family from selling candies. Paulo asked him if he had
already had lunch, and he, not wanting to trouble us, said: “No,
but I will soon”; so, Paulo ran to get food at a restaurant (a lot, by
the way) and we took it to him. We ate together at a corner of that
avenue. We laughed with mister Ronaldo, who had a contagious
and intriguing joy and said: “I have Christ now and that brings
me happiness and peace of mind, which is all I need to go on”.
We were surprised, we stopped to help him, and we were impacted
instead, leaving with a great lesson about the essence of life. Sin-
ce them, mister Ronaldo entered our social support program and
follows his life strongly, working and preaching the word of God,
often on the streets.
