José Paulo – Ideal Decision

                                          THE X-RAY OF THE SOUL

                            Luke 6

“No good tree bears bad fruit, nor does a bad
tree bear good fruit. Each tree is recognized by
its own fruit. People do not pick figs from thorn
bushes, or grapes from briers. A good man brings
good things out of the good stored up in his heart,
and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil
stored up in his heart. For the mouth speaks what
                         the heart is full of.”

Throughout my life I have learned that excellent people attract
excellent people and the opposite is also true. This is so meanin-
gful to me that it is presented in the management principles you,
the reader, already had the opportunity to read.

Before picking someone to enter my team I always do some-
thing I call “X-ray of the soul”, which is a way of getting to know
people in both professional and personal sides. I even have esta-
blished in the Ideal Trends Group a strict screening process for
people recruitment, with several phases and the main analysis is
focused on the fruits this person bears and have born in life.

In this screening process, for example, we ask for referrals with
all previous employers with the contacts the candidate gave us.
These referrals help us to follow the person’s professional trajec-
tory and keep the errors to a minimum. After that, the candidate
has three or four interviews and if the decision is not unanimous,

                                                                      63
