                                                                                                                                      CONSISTENCY




                                                                                            The world has changed, and information and transformation
                                                                                         truly are faster. The mistake most people make is to wish things
                                                                                         happen immediately. In reality, the great evil that plagues peo-
                                                                                         ple’s thinking in this century is immediacy. However, if you want
                                                                                         to build something solid and lasting, never stop being consistent.
                                                                                         Consistency and patience go hand in hand when you want to start
                                                                                         a business. Whether in business or for people, the consistency of
                                                                                         one’s actions is what will determine one’s success.

                                                                                            Consistency is key for extraordinary results. Imagine a person
                                                                                         wants to learn how to play the piano and starts dedicating to study
                                                                                         music for thirty minutes a day for five years; surely this person will
                                                                                         become an expert pianist. The same is valid to whomever wants to
                                                                                         learn a new language and starts studying for one hour a day for
                                                                                         three years; surely this person will excel at the new language.

                                                                                            People should not believe they will learn a new language or how
                                                                                         to play the piano by taking an intensive course of 30 days for 10
                                                                                         hours a day, because they will get tired and will not have results.
                                                                                         Isolated or punctual actions lead to failure, but habit goes hand in
                                                                                         hand with success.
                                                                                            Consistency is discipline’s twin sister. Another example is if I
                                                                                         wanted to improve my fitness; there is no use to working out eight
                                                                                         hours a day for only ten days, it would not work. What will give
                                                                                         me the result I want is to work out one hour a day, three days a
                                                                                         week with discipline for dozens of months.
