• Her original ponytail was styled at the factory in a top bun, and is adorned with a white pearl pin
and complemented by extra full bangs
• Interesting to note, the Japanese fashion booklets showed Barbie with this kind of up-do hair style,
modeling the Japanese market kimonos
• Although this doll did not arrive in a Japanese market box, it is possible that she was a Japanese
market dressed doll
• Peeking under the hair style, we could see that the bottom band is original, and it appears that
the ponytail is intact and rolled under
• Factory face paint is in mint condition with full bright coral lips, piercing blue eyes and auburn
brows
• Earring holes at ears, appears to have been treated for green, shadow of green covered by pearl
earrings
• Body appears mint (didn’t remove outfit)
• She comes wearing a silver brocade near mint kimono, black and silver obi, snaps missing, white
gloves and silver glittered OT shoes, left shoe split
• Includes an American market Redhead Ponytail box in very good condition, two corners split

full and beautifully curled
• All original face paint is exquisite with huge red
lips, beautiful blue eyes, loads of smoky shadow
and charcoal brows
• Face vinyl is slightly shiny
• Earring holes at ears, pale green covered by
pearl earrings
• Body is mint with bright red finger and toe polish
• Includes black wire stand, booklet/shoes/
glasses in replaced cello
• Box is the early folded version and is marked
