• This red checked ensemble is absolutely breathtaking and what a rare find to see this NRFB
• It is so fascinating to see these items in the original package, as many thought this set included
red CT heels when in fact this set includes rose CT heels which match the rose ribbon on the hat
• Hat ribbon has a unique double loop detail at the back
• Box frame is in very good to excellent condition, cello nice and crisp
• There is some light spotting on the turquoise liner which has not affected the fashion
• Japanese outfit sticker present on box frame, remnant of a price sticker is also present

212) BRANIFF INTERNATIONAL AIR HOSTESS COSTUME BY MARX

• Although not a Mattel fashion, the Braniff costumes were designed by Emilo Pucci for Marx Toys
for 11 ½” sized fashion dolls. Montgomery Ward’s had exclusive rights to market these costumes
and they first appeared in the Christmas catalog as a set and later sold individually
• This set referred to as the “Serving Dress” comes in the original sealed package with luggage tag
and chain. As often seen, the luggage tag has become loose and rests at bottom of package
• Shoes are secured to liner, one has split in top of shoe
• Package in very good condition, dress has sun fade to bodice
• What a rare piece of history!
