Excellence
At SIS, we take pride in our international teaching community. SIS employs professionals from across the globe, with the two largest international hires being USA (54) and Canada (17). Our commitment to international diversity sees our school with employees of 20 nationalities.
We have remarkable and caring educators who inspire our students to become independent, life long learners. Our 100%-licensed teaching community regularly collaborates to enhance each student's experiences within and beyond the classroom.
At the beginning of the 2020-21 school year, over half of our teachers could not enter the country due to Covid related travel restrictions. Teachers worked tirelessly from different time zones to ensure students maintained the high- quality academic standards set for them.
By January, almost all teaching staff were back in Shenzhen, transitioning seamlessly into the classrooms. Some teachers made the hard decision not to come back. We were grateful for everyone's commitment and hard work during these times. We are truly thankful for our SIS family and commend everyone's resilience and determination for making this school year the best it could be.
