OTHER BENEFITS
The following is a brief summary of other benefits that Tegra
makes available to you. The descriptions in this handbook are a
summary only. The separate plan documents explain each benefit
in more detail and the language of each plan’s document controls.
All of the benefits described in this handbook may be modified,
amended or terminated at any time, per the terms of the plan
document, by Tegra. To review a copy of the most current and
full version of our benefits program and plan, contact your local
Human Resources Department.
WORKERS’ COMPENSATION
The Company carries workers’ compensation insurance and will
assist employees to obtain all monetary benefits to which they
are entitled for workplace injuries. All workplace injuries must be
promptly reported to Human Resources. Note that in addition to
receiving statutory workers’ compensation and statutory short-
term disability insurance where required by law, eligible employees
may receive additional monies through the Company’s Short-Term
Disability policy. In no event will employees ever get replacement
income totaling more than the salary they would have received
had they continued working. Failure to report accidents promptly
can result in a violation of the Company’s legal requirements and
can lead to difficulties in processing claims for monetary workers’
compensation benefits. In certain cases, failure to treat with the
panel health care providers for the required statutory period may
result in loss of benefits.
PAID TIME OFF POLICY
The Company provides a Paid Time Off (PTO) program to eligible
employees to promote rest and relaxation away from work and to
protect against loss of income during incidental absences due to
illness or injury of the employee or a member of the employee’s
immediate family, or absences due to pressing personal business,
including sincere religious beliefs. All regular full-time employees
are eligible to accrue PTO benefits. Temporary, part-time, seasonal
and contract employees are not eligible for PTO benefits.
PTO hours accrue from the first day of employment with Tegra
LLC; however, employees are not eligible to use PTO until they
have completed 90 days of employment. Each employee will
accrue PTO on a bi-weekly basis commencing each January 1, as
defined below. PTO is not accrued while an employee is on any
type of leave, such as unpaid leave, short or long-term disability,
or workers’ compensation leave.
