My wife, Jean, Circa 2000
After working in hospital pharmacy in Boston for over 20 years, I was recruited to work for a small "boutique" health care consulting company in Ashland, MA. Concepts in Healthcare gave me an opportunity to both meet my wife, Jean Ellis, as well as travel the country and work with hospital pharmacists to promote cost effective pharmacy care.
Soon after I was hired by VHA to develop a national Pharmacy Consulting business for this large Healthcare Group Purchasing Organization. I was hired in 2001 and was able to grow the business into a multi- million dollar enterprise, hiring and working with a professional team of over 50 pharmacists across the nation to assure safe, effective pharmacy care in academic and community hospital pharmacies. J e a n and I were able to visit cities across the country.
I have recently retired, as of January 1st of 2019, and enjoy golf, travel, and spending time with Jean and our children and grandchildren. We live most of the year in the Eagles Golf Community in Odessa, Florida, a suburb of Tampa. Summers are enjoyed in Westport, Massachusetts, where we live amongst many of our friends from my hospital pharmacy days in Boston.

pharmacy, decided to seek alternative opportunities in Pharmacy. During my 20-year career in hospital pharmacy, I was privileged to serve as President
of the Massachusetts Society of Hospital Pharmacists (MSHP) and was awarded Hospital Pharmacist of the Year in both 1981 and 1992. I
also was named a Fellow of the American Society of Health System Pharmacy (ASHP) in 1992 and served on multiple committees and the House of Delegates at ASHP.
