It would be Trent-Global’s recommendation to redesign this building, make the necessary repairs, and convert it to become the main modern inventory facility.
Properly redesigned the main store would have sufficient capacity to fulfil the storage requirements for all items of inventory.
5.1.1 Corroded New Parts
Many new parts noted as not properly protected and already showing signs of corrosion. Some of these parts are precision made shafts, with precision machined tolerances for bearing fits etc. These when cleaned for use, could well render the part ineffective for proper use. These should be properly wrapped in special greaseproof wrapping, specifically designed for use in store room environments.
5.1.2 Goods receiving Area
Whilst it is good to segregate and operate a dedicated Goods Receiving Area, it would be good to see more discipline in arrival and temporary storage of parts, and to witness a goods receiving bench for smaller parts etc.
