Virtually everyone has had the experience – your
CPR call has a successful outcome, but the family
thanks you for asking if THEY’RE OKAY; you pull off a
seemingly impossible extrication, but the motorist
compliments you on covering them (and yourself
with them) with a blanket to protect them from
debris during the operation; you stop a rapidly
moving apartment fire in its track, but residents
appreciate you protecting their furniture from
water damage! People expect us to handle their
emergency…they just seem surprised when we go
the extra mile and do the simple things that show we
care about them as people. It’s all in the details.
