EKOTEK PAGER – PAGER

The EkoTek Pager is a multi-function device, displaying received messages
with acknowledgement, plus the ability to generate an alarm from the
buttons (Duress & Assist), snatch cord (panic), Dead-Man or Man-Down
features.

As with the EkoTek Fob, the EkoTek Pager pictured here (EKOPAG) offers an optional Assist Alarm (blue
button). The message is configured by the administrator at set-up and will be standardised across all EkoTek
Healthcare Pagers. A single click raises the assist alarm and then automatically returns to normal state (no
alarm clear is necessary). The large screen with multi-coloured backlight further emphasises the nature of an
alarm – blue for assist and red for emergency.

The Pager (excluding display screen) is protected with an anti-bacterial compound providing first-line defence
against bacterial build-up. The device is a fully sealed unit and may be sprayed or dipped every 24 hours with
a suitable antibacterial liquid to ensure the device is free from bacteria. The Pager has a high strength casing
suitable for tough environments.

The Pager is fitted with a Ni-Mh rechargeable battery. To charge the battery, place the device in the
charger ensuring the power supply is switched on. Two chargers are available for the EKOPAG – a single
and a multi-charger (4 Way). The long-life battery used provides 2 weeks’ usage with a full charge. A 40-
minute charge provides approximately 8 hours of use.

EkoTek’s 2-Way Pagers have the following key functions:
• Display of and response to assistance calls from other 2-way devices
• Display of paging messages created by using the Hub webserver
• Display of paging messages coming from an external system via the Hubs serial input
• Generation of personal security assistance calls (same as a Call Fob)
