EKOTEK CALL POINT REPEATER
The EkoTek Call Point Repeater is functionally the same as
a standard EkoTek Repeater (2WREP) and will
automatically form part of the backbone of the mesh
radio network along with standard repeaters, relaying
messages to and from the Hub. The networks physical
layout is determined by the placing of the repeaters,
which may extend across floors and buildings. Each Call
Point Repeater provides a location beacon signal for
accurate location determination for alarm signals and also
for tracking.
The Call Point Repeater is fitted with a push button for fast alarm activation. The Call Point
Repeater is battery powered, making installation very quick and low cost. DC powered repeaters
are also available.
Call Point Repeaters are often used in common areas, bathrooms as well as at reception where a
duress alarm can be raised discreetly. Two screws hold the Call Point Repeater to the wall or desk.
Two internal alkaline D cell batteries power the Call Point Repeater. The voltage of the batteries is
monitored and reported to the Hub and/or Pagers should the voltage fall, stating that the Call
Point Repeater batteries need to be replaced.
Battery replacement is quickly achieved by sliding the Call Point Repeater from the backing plate
and lifting out the old batteries. No tools are required for this.
