                            The highest pol% was found from the variety V 3  (15.86%) in 160 DAS which was
                     statistically similar to the genotypes V 12  (14.21%), V 1  (13.97%) and V 11  (13.91%) in 160
                     DAS. On the other  hand,  lower pol% was found from the varieties  V 13  (8.60%) and V 7
                     (8.86%) in 120 DAS, although there was no significance difference was found among the
                     varieties except V 3  in 120 DAP.Comparatively the varieties V 1  (Cauvery), V 2  (Shubrha), V 3
                     (HI 0044), V 4  (HI0473) and V 11  (SV893) contained higher brix and pol% at earlier maturity
                     stage (120 DAS) and rest of the varieties contained higher brix and pol% at mid maturity
                     stage  (140  and  more  DAS).  The  brix  and  pol%  of  beet  were  significantly  varied  in
                     different DAS even within the varieties of sugarbeet. Similar results were also reported by
                     Rahman et al. (2013), Abd EL-Gawad et al. (2000) and Kandil et al. (2002).

                            In general, Leaf fresh and dry weight were found higher in earlier mature stage
                     (120  DAS),  LAI  was  found  better  at  early  to  mid-maturity  level  (120-160  DAS)  and
                     drastically reduced to late maturity level (180 DAS), Chlorophyll concentration was found
                     higher in early maturity stage (120 DAS) for maximum cultivars of beet. Comparatively V 1
                     (Cauvery),  V 2 (Shubrha),  V 3 (HI  0044),V 4  (HI  0473)  and  V 11 (SV  893)  were  identified  as
                     early harvesting and rest of the varieties as mid harvestinggenotypes for their variation of
                     leaf physiological traits (Leaf fresh weight, Leaf dry weight, LAI, chlorophyll) related with
                     sucrose content.
