Public Health Data Analysis in COVID With onset of COVID, as RT-PCR testing began,
With onset of covid pandemic, we began with
efforts to assess natural exposure and
development of immune response in personnel
and staff of CSIR under the Phenome India
cohort. We were able to demonstrate an
estimated seroprevalence of approximately 10
% in the Indian population in the first phase of
nd
study which was during 2 and 3 quarter of
rd
2020. Following this we also conducted second
st
round of sero-survey in 1 quarter of 2021 and
the seropositivity had risen to 28% in this phase
of collection. The work also had important
consideration from a perspective of an
observation of fall in Test Positivity Rate as
seropositivity rose. There was difference in
seropositivity amongst different occupational
subgroups and based on mode of transport
utilized. Also, difference was observed with
change in population density.
AI based detection of COVID Pneumonia on X-

we started elucidating; role X-ray based
diagnosis can play through deployment of AI
framework and amalgamation of logic derived
from an expert system as a screening tool. This
helped us achieve considerable success in
detection and ruling out of COVID pneumonia
which an AI based framework alone was not
able to reach.
Bio Signal Analysis for Cognitive Applications
Our lab is also working in the domain of bio
signal analysis for cognitive analysis and stress
detection. Stress and mental fatigue resulting in
loss of performance or lack of performance
from the beginning may be understood from
analysis of human physiological data through
analysis of different bio signal types such as EEG,
GSR, PPG and ocular movement.
