Activity 1:
Online shopping websites (e.g.: Lazada and Shopee) are becoming more popular these days. How about
playing the role of a smart online shopper? Visit those websites ( one website per person or per group but
depends on full implementation) and create the ideal shopping list for a certain someone (the certain
someone can be anyone). You or your group can write down the list on a piece of paper or type it on a
computer. You can present the list in the form of a table.
Activity 2:
Imagine you are working in a warehouse that belongs to a company that owns an online shopping
website. What will your work be? Since you are also learning comparatives and superlatives, why don’t
use them while describing your work? You can write down your thoughts in the form of an essay, a mind
map, a table or graphics. Remember to use superlatives and comparatives accordingly while you write.
Activity 3:
In the text, Geno (the green giraffe) mentioned that he did not want to see shops close down because they
cannot compete against online shopping websites. What if you are the owner of a shop who wants to sell
your things online? How would you sell your product online? How would you make Geno buy your
product? Record a video of you promoting your product to Geno. Make sure the video is short and easy to
digest by Geno. You can also turn your plans for the video into a proposal for the video if you cannot
shoot the video. Remember to put the comparatives and superlatives in your proposal or video.
Activity 4:
Imagine that you were cheated while buying a certain object online. How would you feel? It is very
important for us to make a complaint to the authorities so that we can get our money back and prevent
others from being the next victim of the bad seller. Write a letter of complaint to the online seller (or the
authorities, depending on the way you write it) to complain about something that you feel is unfair to you
after buying a product or using a service.
