Year 8

Year 8 has been a remarkable and memorable
year, full of achievements, experiences, and lasting
memories. From academic accomplishments
to sporting triumphs, music and dramatic
performances—including the spectacular
production of Beauty and the Beast—our Year 8
pupils have truly embraced every opportunity.

In the classroom, pupils made pleasing progress
02 in their academic work and took part challenges
including the UK Maths Challenge, the Bebras
Computational Thinking Competition, and Science
Olympiad, showcasing their curiosity and problem-
solving skills.

Beyond the classroom, Year 8 enjoyed an exciting
range of trips and experiences. Highlights
included a Geography field trip to the Jurassic
Coast in Dorset, where pupils explored the iconic
formations of Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door.
As part of the art curriculum, pupils visited the
National Museum of Wales to engage with
inspiring works of art. Several pupils also took
part in trips abroad including a swimming camp to
Lanzarote, a ski trip to Italy, and a music tour
to Germany.
