Year 8 is also a time for leadership. Our Year 8
Monitors, Heads of Games Houses, Heads of
Boarding, Sports Leaders, and Heads of School
have risen to the challenge with maturity and
enthusiasm, serving as excellent role models and
contributing to the smooth day-to-day running of
school life.
The final term brings mixed emotions, as pupils 08 09
prepare to leave Millfield Prep and begin the next
stage of their journey. After completing their
end-of-year assessments, they enjoyed a vibrant
and rewarding conclusion to their time in Year 8 — 10
highlighted by the Year 8 camp in Wales, filled with
outdoor adventures, career workshops, transition
sessions, and inspiration from the ‘I Can, I Am’
motivational bus.
Leavers’ hoodies, formal photographs, the
planting of a commemorative tree, and the
much-anticipated Leavers’ Dinner all helped to
mark this important end to their time at Millfield
Prep. The year culminated in a joyful whole-school
celebration on Speech Day, a truly fitting finale to
a fantastic year. 01 Leavers’ Dinner
