Young Voices
On Friday 31 January, 63 pupils set off to
Birmingham to take part in Young Voices with
5263 other children from around the country. The
event was much anticipated and took place in a
15,000 capacity arena. The pupils had a fantastic
time singing a huge variety of songs and they
represented the school beautifully.
Autumn, Spring and Summer
Our major end of term concerts are always a
highlight of the musical calendar with the focus 02
on our many different ensembles in the autumn
and summer terms and our choirs in the spring.
We certainly have a special love for singing in our
school and, this year, the Spring Concert involved
over 250 pupils including two whole year groups
(the amazing Year 2s and the Year 6 ukuleles)
as well as some engaging performances from
Edgarley Voices, the Chamber Choir, the Junior
Choir, the Young Voices choir and the 120 strong
Senior Choir. Our Autumn Concert contained some
fantastic performances from the Year 2 brass, 03

string ensembles, wind ensembles, jazz and blues
band, and percussion ensemble and the summer Screen night
concert was given a glitzy upgrade, being themed
