Fencing
Once again, Millfield fencers have shone brightly,
combining exceptional performances with a true
enjoyment of the sport. This year has seen a 04
significant rise in pupils wishing to compete, and
the enthusiasm across all age groups has been
inspiring.
In January, several pupils successfully qualified for
the British Youth Championships, a testament to
their dedication and growing skill.
Pupils are encouraged to explore all three fencing
weapons—foil, epee, and sabre—broadening
their understanding and appreciation of the
sport. Our Year 8 fencers joined the senior
school squad at the prestigious Public Schools’
Fencing Championships, playing a vital role in 05
Millfield securing its 12th consecutive overall win.
Impressively, our Year 8 and 9 pupils also brought foil, epee, and sabre—while the boys finished 01 IAPS Champion at arms
