Trampolining
Twenty students represented Millfield at the
Southwest School’s trampoline competition this
year, with ten students qualifying through to
the Southern Regional Championships. Notable
achievements included Year 10 Daisy Year 11
Brychan and Upper Sixth Ellis all finishing in
2nd place in their respective categories. Both our
senior and intermediate girls’ teams also finished
in bronze position. Four students qualified through
to the National Schools Championship in March,
where Brychan finished in 5th position and Ava
finished in 13th place. We currently have about
30 students who attend weekly training sessions
alongside their other sporting pursuits.
Triathlon 01 02
This year, 10 Millfield triathletes competed in
the British Triathlon Super Series, with standout
performances from Upper Sixth Nate, who placed
5th in the opening junior round, and Lower Sixth
Tom, who finished 6th in the second round. Our
younger athletes took on their first super series,
learning from race to race and growing through the
season. The triathletes made up a large proportion
of the English Schools Cup Cross Country teams
in which we saw both our senior Boys and Girls
podium, with the boys finishing 2nd nationally and
the girls finishing 3rd, going up against teams of
pure runners! Several students also represented
the school at the American National Triathlon
Championships and the CARIFTA Games, achieving
multiple top-10 finishes. We also had triathletes 03
competing individually in swimming and cycling at
the games.
Waterpolo
We had 25 players involved this season (24 boys
and 1 girl), and the energy, commitment, and team
spirit has been outstanding.
Our U18 Boys' team took on the challenge of the
National Schools Championships. With only three
Upper Sixth students in the squad, this was one of
the youngest teams in the competition – but what
they lacked in age, they more than made up for in
fight and determination.
Over the season, the team battled to an impressive 04
record of three wins, four draws, and just two Away from competition, House Water Polo was
