        home to do so (whether they do or not is a different possibility), or retain an investigator to do so, or do so themselves
        (we don’t recommend this – the trauma is already an emotional family burden). This process is simply a progression of
        documenting injuries, the same as the other processes described.

        As we look at these different types of scenes – and many others – we see the evidentiary value available from the extra
        time to better document with photography after the event. Whether in the hospital, at the funeral home, or their home
        – continued photographic documentation of injuries and the healing process can be of great value.
