        CONFERENCE UPDATES AND WRAP UP
        NCISS Annual Meeting and Elections
        Attended by over 40 people – 15+ Board members and Past Presidents, and 25+ members, the annual
        meeting and elections were well attended and productive! Members will get a full briefing in the end-
        of-year Your Advocate in December, including a synopsis of Officer & Director reports. The finances of
        NCISS are the strongest in over a decade, and membership continues to grow as the investigative &
        security professions continue to monitor and address legislation which will impact our professions. Elections were also
        held, with appreciation for those ending their Board tenure for their leadership and contributions; and welcome to the
        following:
        ➢  Officers (1-year term to 2022)
        Board Chairman (elected by new Board) – Wes Bearden (Bearden Investigative Agency, Inc. Dallas TX (from President)
        President – Lisa Turley (Legal Investigative Services, Inc. Charleston WV; from 1st Vice President)

        Iowa Association of Private Investigators!
        The Iowa conference was open to in-person in Des Moines, and started with networking the evening
        of 10/27/2021 and multiple topics for the conference on 10/28/2021. Dean presented on three:
        Standards of Practice for a PI; Time is Money for a PI; and Evidence Inspection and Documentation.
        Because another speaker could not make it at the last minute, Dean also presented Woodchipper
        Fatality Investigation”.
