45-46 Claudia Griebl is a photographer with a diverse background in makeup, writing, film and music. Her photos have been displayed in exhibitions across the world and used by ad agencies, magazines and more. She has a self-described “love that borders on obsession” for photography. Documentary photographer Vincent Cianni graduated from Penn State University, the Maryland Institute College of Art, and SUNY New Paltz. He teaches photography at Parsons The New School of Design, New York City. He currently lives in Newburgh, New York. His photographs are represented in numerous public and private collections. Soon-Hwa Oh is an associate professor of Photography and Digital Imaging Program
at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. She holds a doctorate degree from Columbia University (Teachers College). Dorothea Lange (1895–1965) was an influential American documentary photographer and photojournalist, and best known for her Depression-era work for the Farm Security Administration (FSA). Trained in the areas of sculpture, drawing, and photography, Gérard Lange’s artwork is
as diverse as his background. Lange worked professionally as a photographer before attending graduate school at Tulane University in New Orleans. After receiving his Master of Fine Arts, Lange taught at Northern Michigan University before coming to Barton College. He is represented by galleries in New Orleans, New York, and London. Esther Bubley (1921–1998) was an American photographer who specialized in expressive photos of ordinary people in everyday lives. In the fall of 1942 Roy Stryker hired her at the Office of War Information (OWI). Her most challenging assignment was a noted series on the bus system in the Midwest and South. 49-50 Kristin Capp grew up in Seattle and lives in Namibia. From 1994 – 2010 she lived in New York and published two monographs: Hutterite: A World of Grace (1998), and Americana (2000) with Edition Stemmle (Zurich, Switzerland). Capp has exhibited internationally in group and solo shows from Zurich to Namibia, and has work in public collections in the United States, Europe and Africa.
