Pascal Maitre started working as a photojournalist in 1979 for Jeune Afrique. His numerous reports have lead him all over the world, from Siberia to South America, through Afghanistan and Africa. His photographs have been published in the most eminent French and foreign magazines: Geo France, Geo Germany, L’Express, Paris Match, National Geographic Magazine, The Telegraph Magazine, Elle, Stern, Der Spiegel, Life, Terra Mater and more. Norah Gustafson was born and raised in the American South. She received her BFA in Photography from Columbia College Chicago. She currently lives and works in Los Angeles, CA. 35-36 Peruvian photojournalist Oscar Durand discovered visual storytelling by accident, while studying industrial engineering in Lima, Peru. After moving to the United States and graduating from the photojournalism program at the Rochester Institute of Technology, Oscar returned to Peru to focus on social issues in Latin America working in photo and video. Joseph Rodriguez was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. In 1985, he graduated with a Photojournalism and Documentary Diploma from the International Center of Photography in New York. He went on to work for print and online news organizations such as National Geographic, The New York Times Magazine, Mother Jones, Newsweek, Esquire, Stern,
and New America Media. He has been awarded Pictures of the Year by the National Press Photographers Association and the University of Missouri (1990, 1992, 1996 and 2002) and is the author of Spanish Harlem, part of the “American Scene” series by the National Museum of American Art/D.A.P.
