Marc Chaumeil started photography in 1982. Since 1990 he collaborates regularly to newspapers such as Libération, Le Monde, L’Express, Le Parisien Magazine, amongst others. In 1995 he became the first photographer to capture the Tour de France with a digital camera. Katie Callan, is an American photographer and videographer living between Marseille, France and the Los Angeles area. Her work has been featured in Libération, Next, Intersection, Madame Figaro, l’Equipe, as well as photo festivals Visa Pour l’Image and Terre d’Images, and collective contemporary art shows at museums MARTa Herford (Germany), BWA (Poland), and La Gaité Lyrique (Paris). Marika Dee is a documentary photographer based in Brussels, Belgium. She studied law at the University of Leuven and worked as a jurist before taking up photography. Her work focuses on social issues and youth culture. Her photographs have appeared in publications worldwide including Newsweek Japan, Internazionale, De Standaard and Maclean’s. 39-40 Jane Evelyn Atwood was born in New York and has been living in France since 1971.
She is the author of ten books. Her book, Women in Prison (Phaidon, 2000) remains the definitive photographic reference on female incarceration to date. Atwood is the recipient of numerous prestigious awards including the first W. Eugene Smith Award, 1980 and a World Press Foundation Prize, Amsterdam, 1987 among several others.
