non-permanent and regulatory paralysis if it is

            permanent.

When the body gets stuck in one type of

response, there is an increased probability that a

person will begin to show immune related

problems. If the immune system gets stuck in the

type 1 response, you are more likely to see

autoimmune diseases. If the immune system gets

stuck in the type 2 responses you are more likely to

see allergies, eczema, asthma, chronic fungal

diseases, chronic fatigue syndrome and possibly

            cancer.

Research from Europe has demonstrated that

immune function is regulated by the extracellular

matrix. You may not have heard of the

extracellular matrix but it is the space around the

cells. This cellular environment is designed to

keep the cells healthy and is one of the major areas

            where the immune system operates.

When an autoimmune reaction happens, the

immune cells come to the target area from the

bloodstream and the attack on the cells occurs in

the extracellular matrix. The environment of the

cells, designed to help keep them healthy, is now
