survived, or parts of food like lectins that disrupt
the functioning of the body), you can create health
problems in the body. What helps your body to
absorb that which you do want from food from that
which you do not want is the structure of the walls
of the small intestine.
The area of the small intestine where you
absorb nutrients has a sort of filter that is only one
cell thick. On one side of this filter is the space
where all of your food is passing through the small
intestine. On the other side of this filter is where
you have blood and lymph vessels where the
incoming food particles will be transported to other
parts of the body.
The filter has a very intelligent design. It only
allows very small nutrients through such as fats,
small proteins, amino acids, and sugars. Large
proteins, any bacteria that may have survived, etc
are too big to fit through this filter. This protects
the body from absorbing things that may damage it.
The filter, however, can become damaged. As
previously stated, the filter in the wall of the small
