                    describe the role of the human resources department and individual managers
                     in the learning process

                    describe the training and development process:  identifying needs, setting
                     objectives, programme design, delivery and validation

                    explain the terms ‘training’, development’ and ‘education’ and the characteristics
                     of each

                    list the benefits of effective training and development in the workplace

               and answer questions relating to these areas.
