Overview
• For an entity to be successful it has to be guided by
an overarching corporate strategy.
• In this regard, the financial function could also add
more value through a process of strategic
alignment.
• In dealing with the ‘bigger picture’, it is also
important to realise that a firm functions within a
greater context and therefore also has to consider
other stakeholders by means of appropriate
corporate governance.
