Stakeholders
A stakeholder group is one with a vested interest in the company.
Typical stakeholders for an organisation would include:
internal company employees
company managers/directors
connected equity investors (ordinary shareholders)
customers
suppliers
finance providers (debt holders/bankers)
competitors
external the government
the community at large
pressure groups
regulators
The various stakeholders will have different needs and objectives.
Conflict between and within groups of stakeholders and the need for
management to balance the various interests is a key issue.
