               4.2  Standard normal distribution

               To use the normal distribution we first have to convert our normal distribution to a
               standard normal distribution.


               A standard normal distribution has:

                    a mean of 0

                    a standard deviation of 1

               This special distribution is denoted by z and can be calculated as:



                                                         x – µ
                                            z    =       ——
                                                           σ

               Where:

               z is the z score

               x is the value being considered

               μ is the mean

               σ is the standard deviation
