Exam Technique: Step By Step

A. Reading time (½ hour) 0.3 minutes per mark !!!

• Read the scenario of the question (½ hour)

☺ 2 minutes: familiarize yourself with content/wp, etc

☺ 28 minutes: speed reading

- Make notes/write down your thoughts, etc.

- Underline important words, etc.

- Identify statements, IAS, ISAs, Co-Act, etc

• Search for facts/information/answers given in the

question

• Facts/answers are often given in the question

• Try to identify issues (e.g. risks, controls, weaknesses, statements, etc.)

• Keep mind mapping to an absolute minimum !!!
