Mission Statement

The mission of Citizens’ High School is to provide students a quality high school diploma
through distance education with a well-rounded academic foundation, leading to social and
economic mobility.

CHS Academic Goals

• Develop innovative learning programs, utilizing a self-directed home study format
• Provide research and development of new learning and study techniques that meet the

educational needs of our diverse student body
• Recognizing and developing each student’s unique individuality and talents and

renewing the students’ belief in their limitless potential
• Preparing our students with a well-rounded, viable academic foundation and the social

mobility to allow our graduates to function successfully as meaningful members of
society and well-informed consumers

Accreditation

Citizens' High School (CHS) has been accredited by the Distance Education Accrediting
Commission (DEAC) for more than 30 years. DEAC is listed by the U.S. Department of Education
as a nationally recognized accrediting agency. DEAC ensures an institution has:

• An approved program of study
• Qualified teachers and academic support services
• Learning and research resources
• Administrative capacity
• Ethical business practices
• Acceptable admissions standards, and
• The financial capacity to operate on a sound financial basis
