Through this process eligible staff may apply for assistance in an amount up to $2000 per calendar year, not to exceed a total of $8000 for undergraduate or graduate studies at an educational institution that satisfies the definition of an educational institution in the relevant section of the tax code.
ELIGIBILITY:
Active employees who are classified as "full-time" (regularly scheduled to work 35 or more hours per week) with at least six months of continuous service immediately prior to the start of the course are eligible to apply for reimbursement for qualified tuition expenses. (For purposes of this policy, "active" means employees who are not on a leave of absence at the time of taking the course.) Note that this policy requires the course work to be related to one’s current position or possibly lead to promotional opportunities, and that this policy requires employees to attain a certain grade level to receive the benefit in the future.
Applications are accepted for the following deadlines: March 1, June 1, September 1, December 1.
