Today’s business landscape is moving at a pace like never since the start of the
Industrial Revolution. A large part of the reason for this breathtaking speed at
which information moves across your universe.
You can piss off a customer at 3:04pm and read about it on Yelp at 3:06 pm the
same day. Alternatively, you can create a masterful meal for a couple and see it
posted and raved about on YouTube or Instagram that same evening.
This type of information transparency and the speed, at which it moves, must be
understood and folded into your business plan.
The key is to use this to your advantage.
Victory Goes to the One with Superior Forces at the First Point of Contact
There are a limited number of points of contact and opportunities to make a solid
first impression. You need to be better than competition at those points. When
you are better, you’ll win the lion-share of the marketplace.
Here are a few of the most obvious First Points of Contact for most businesses
and entrepreneurs:
● The way your phone is answered
● How people are greeted when they enter your business
● Your initial face-to-face interaction
● Your website
● Your online search engine presence
● Your social media pages
There are a few more and they differ based on the type of business you operate.
The point is - Let’s make sure that you are killing it when making that critical
interaction with your community and potential buyers.
